WHAT
IS CALOUSIA?
The name “Calousia” comes from two Greek words, meaning delightful
existence. Not an inappropriate name, perhaps, for beings advanced enough
to know what the universe offers and so can choose the best of these things
for themselves
Descriptive Definition:
Humanity’s Mature State Calousia is a state of high-capacity existence.
As noted on the Home Page, it is a state of mature
powers, and, in consequence, humanity’s mature state.
Technical
Definition:
Calousia is attained when intelligent beings can exercise to the limit
all the significant limited aspects of the six fundamental powers. These
powers are: (1) communication, (2) transportation, (3) energy, (4) engines
and power devices, (5) synthesis, the making of things (an enormous power),
and (6) reduction, (recycling; reducing entities to their elements or
to energy). See Six Fundamental Powers.
Those beings who
have attained this state are called Calousians. The adjectival form is
"Calousian." And Calousian is also the singular form for a being
with Calousian powers. In fun, and since our language tends to require
it, and to strike a fair balance - "man" and "mankind"
being male - Calousia and Calousian are female nouns. Of course, extra-terrestrial
culture-bearers with more than two sexes can claim the unfairness persists.
Important! Again,
Calousia is a different future.
It is not a speculation;
It is not a fantasy;
It is not utopian.
It is real.
And if we keep our science and technology growing,
And keep responding rationally to the resulting conditions,
We must reach it.
